Assignment #2

FINALLY found something to edit!!! I actually came across this information unintentionally and added it to the wiki site. It's in regards to my country's (Eritrea) history and Ethiopia.

There seems to be two interpretations to a treaty Emperor Menelik II signed; which of course began the break down with the Ethiopian empire and eventually caused my country to fight for its independents.

Here's what I added:

"Thus, Menelik signed the Treaty of Wuchale with the Italians on May 2, 1889. Controversy soon emerged on the interpretation of article 17 of the treaty. While the Amharic text reads that Menelk could, if he wished, call upon the services of the Italian authorities in his communications with other powers, the Italian version made this obligatory, there by making Eritrea in effect a protectorate of italy."

After spending the last couple of months in the New Media and Business class my definition of business media is: All technological communication.

In essence, new media is all major media we use today. It includes digital, computerized or networked information and communication technologies and it can be a networkable cite. Examples are virtual games, multimedia and social websites (facebook, myspace, etc..).

Hello Everyone,

My name is MsMesmer and as it states on my profile, I am a Brooklyn College student majoring in English. This is my very first blog :) so I apologize if things seem random or disorganized. Anyway, I'm not a native New Yorker, I moved here from Maryland a couple of years ago to finish my college education and to start a career in the publishing field. I've already completed a couple of internships but I don't think I want to be a publisher. Instead, I want to go to law school and study intellectual property or more specifically author copyright. Hopefully, I will graduate this May and in the fall of 2011 attend law school and complete my long-term goal. Thus, I am not currently employed. I decided to quit my job and focus solely on my future goals.

As far as my short-term goals (that is right after graduation), I plan on traveling to Africa and probably do a tour through Europe...........after all these years studying the trip is well deserved, but I'm famous for changing my mind as often as someone blinks so we'll see. I may stay in New York and just chill but as I said we'll see.
